Welcome.
We’re so glad you’re here.

If you are a caregiver, a person living with illness, planning for end-of-life, or just want to find others open to talking about death…
We’re here to offer the practical guidance we wish we had when we were in your shoes and to bring together people with similar experiences to learn from each other. As a paid subscriber, you can bring your specific questions to our Live, Weekly “Ask Us Anything” (AUA) about Aging, Illness & End-of-Life on Zoom, and also get access to all articles.

Together we can:
overcome fears
get clear on what matters most to you
leave less of a mess after we are gone
make more informed decisions for our life now through the very end — and for future generations
After all, we’re all on the mortality conveyor belt.

Why should you let us be your guides?
Hi, we’re Christina and Willow.
Healthcare professionals can fix, cure, and heal us.
Lawyers can advise on possessions, property, and powers of attorney.
Therapists can help with mental health needs.
As educators and death doulas, we seek to fill in gaps during transitions by providing whole-person support (e.g., practical, physical, psychological, social, cultural, spiritual, emotional, and cognitive).
We’ve also been primary caregivers, so we understand the challenges, sorrows, and gifts of this role professionally and personally. We are dedicated to helping you navigate these times and create moments of meaning and joy.
About Christina
Christina received her end-of-life doula training in 2019 and has worked in private practice with clients since 2020. While she’s worked with clients in various situations, she specializes in working with caregivers, people living with dementia, and solo agers. She also mentors other death doulas and is an educator and frequent webinar guest speaker at The Dying Year. Some webinar topics have included “Bucket List Adaptations,” “Humility, Transparency and Presence in End-of-Life Work,” and “Facilitating Family and Friend Support at End-of-Life.” She has also presented at Dementia Minds and will present at the Canadian Society for Palliative Medicine in the summer of 2025. Christina was a hospice volunteer from 2021-2023. Additionally, she is trained and certified as a Respecting Choices First Steps Facilitator (advance care planning facilitation) and has attended several SAGE (Advocacy and Services for LGBTQ Elders) trainings. She received her NEDA Proficiency Badge in 2023.
Before her work as an end-of-life doula, Christina was in the aviation industry and spent over 20 years teaching in the aviation department at Eastern Michigan University in Michigan. She left that position to care for her parents when they both became sick at the same time. Christina resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In her free time, she loves spending time with her three kids, playing the piano, cooking and taking walks in the woods.
About Willow
Willow completed professional training as an advance care planning facilitator in 2020 and end-of-life doula training (The Dying Year) in 2023. In private practice and as a three-time executor/trustee, Willow is experienced with the practical and emotional aspects of reorganizing financial and administrative matters, selling family homes and investment properties, disbursing possessions, creating LLCs, restructuring debt, estate planning, and creating legacy. Willow works with a wide range of clients and unique challenges. Specialties include guiding clients and their loved ones to get better results from existing professional resources (e.g., healthcare and legal), simplifying financial and administrative matters pre- and post-loss, and leveraging resources where the goal of “dying at home” is a priority. Willow is the Secretary-Treasurer for a non-profit cemetery (since 2015); has volunteered for two hospices (2008-2014 and 2022-2024); and served as the facilitator of the Northeast Regional Group (2023) for the National End of Life Doula Alliance.
In a “past life,” Willow was a strategist and marketing professional for Fortune 500 consumer brands and various start-ups in digital/mobile/social technology, music and entertainment, and social enterprise/sustainability. She lives in a river town in upstate New York with her super-cute cat Roger, writes creative non-fiction, and loves playful adventures in nature and with humans.
